SARS-CoV-2, Flu A/B + RSV
While the global spreading of COVID-19 is posing a major public health threat, the common seasonal respiratory infections still continue to circulate. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2), influenza A, influenza B, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) cause acute respiratory infections with similar clinical manifestations. The infection management and treatment strategies, however, differ depending on the pathogen. Rapid identification of the virus that is causing the infection is important to ensure correct measures for infection control and treatment.
The GenomEra® SARS-CoV-2, Flu A/B + RSV Assay Kit is a rapid and simple multiplex RT-qPCR test for simultaneous qualitative detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2, influenza A and B, and RSV. The sample preparation is simple with minimal hands-on time. No RNA extraction is required, which significantly reduces the workload of the laboratory personnel. The GenomEra Test Chips contain all the reagents needed for the RT-qPCR and the results are automatically reported by the GenomEra software. Due to the simplicity of the system, no prior experience in PCR nor dedicated PCR facilities are required.

5 seconds. Pipette 50 μl of the specimen into the bottom of the GenomEra® Resp SPC tube
